all better!

I'm happy to report that we are an illness-free household again. Yay! Lincoln still isn't 100% himself quite yet, but he's doing much better. I'm 99% sure he had roseola. His fever broke after 3 days, but then he got this weird rash, starting on his face and moving to his chest and back. When I searched on Google for "rash after fever", the first thing that came up was roseola. As I read about it and saw pictures, I knew that's what we were dealing with. His rash looks way better today and is now just a little bit on his face. He is still tired a lot, but I think that's just his little body recovering from the virus. It was a long week for me, but I know it could have been a lot worse and I know for some of you, it has been lately. My heart goes out to those of you with sick babies. Hope everyone gets well soon!

  1. Ooh, yeah, I've heard roseola is just horrible. By the time the rash breaks out, the worst is over, though. I'm glad he's feeling better.

  2. Ammie had that last year, but her fever didn't last that long, sorry about that. Glad you are through the worst of it. Sick kids are the WORST!

  4. McCoy had Roseola right before Christmas. Thankfully it was mostly over before I even figured out what it was. Thank you to the wonderful world of the internet that can help us figure these things out without having to call the doctor every other day. Glad all is getting better, we are better but McCoy now has a little virus causing some nasty diapers that need to be changed about 10 times a day and a couple of baths too. So we are homebound again, blahg!
