adventures in parenting

Here's a look at what's been going on at our house the last little while. I guess I could just save these for Lincoln's 11 month post in a couple of weeks, but I don't want to forget!
*Lincoln's first projectile vomiting experience. Luckily, he had only had a bottle and the whole thing barely even phased him.
*Lincoln has always been a great eater, but this week mealtime has been a nightmare. I don't know if he doesn't feel good (hence the puking) or if he just doesn't want to take the time out of playing to eat. He is also totally not interested in drinking bottles anymore. I've been slowly incorporating milk so we can just stop formula all together. He won't drink milk plain, yet, but I hope we get there by his birthday.
*Lincoln has finally figured out how to drink out of his sippy cup and doesn't gag on water anymore. I'm glad he'll drink water since I'm lucky if he will drink 12 ounces of formula in a day.
*Lincoln has FINALLY started crawling! He has been able to for the past few weeks, but only did it occasionally for a short period of time. But he's starting to do it more and more and rolling less. Maybe now he will bonk his head less.
*I think he is sort of a mama's boy. Sometime he will scream and scream when I leave a room. Tonight was especially bad. I love that he loves me, but he's got a dad too!

Here are few recent pictures of our cute boy--who is almost 1. I can't believe it!

  1. awwww he is soo cute!! That's exciting that he is crawling! Meal time is really hard for me too! Conner has gotten so picky i seriously run out of ideas of what to even try to feed him! Hopefully Lincoln is not to that point yet. Good luck!!

  2. He is awesome. I still struggle with getting Ammie to eat anything. I usually end up chasing her around just to make sure she has something in her belly, because she is too busy to slow down and eat no matter how hungry she is. Good luck with the crawling, I love that stage, but walking is even better, you'll love it.
