10 years
Today is our 10 year anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole decade. It makes me feel old! I couldn’t have asked for a better husband, best friend, and dad to Lincoln. Here’s to 10 more (plus some) wonderful years!
Here is picture from each year of our marriage. (2003-2012)

preschool
I can’t believe this kid is already in school. I know it’s only preschool, but, geez, the last 4 1/2 years have flown by. Preschool has been so good for both of us! He goes 3 days a week for 3 hours and loves it! He has been so ready for some sort of social activity and to be with kids his own age. I worried a bit about preschool because I tried to put him in a short summer preschool and it was a disaster. But, thankfully, it’s been more successful this time. I’m excited to watch him learn and grow this year.

Out of the mouths of babes
Lincoln did a couple of funny things today that I wanted to write down and remember.
* Just as I opened the car door to buckle him in his car seat, I heard him say, "in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.". I asked him why he was praying. He said, "To ask Heavenly Father and Jesus to move their house closer to Utah so I can go visit them because I miss them so much."
*On that same car ride, he was sitting with his fingers in his ears, talking to me . He said (quite loudly), "Mom, can you hear me?". As I nodded, he got a puzzled look on his face and said, "How?". I informed him that I could hear him because I wasn't the one worth my fingers in my ears.
This kid is at such an awesome stage of life. I can't imagine my life without him.

viva las vegas
Dan is one of the hardest people to shop for. I had no idea what to get him for Christmas. A Facebook friend recommended Cloud 9 Living . For those who know Dan, you know that he loves cars. So I knew a driving experience was the perfect gift for him, so I got the Lamborghini driving experience in Las Vegas.
A couple weeks ago, we headed to Las Vegas for the weekend. We took Lincoln and Dan’s brother and sister, and at the last minute some of our friends decided to tag along as well. It was such a fun weekend. I worried about taking an almost 4-year-old to Vegas, but Lincoln did so well and had a ton of fun. The weather was perfect and it was fun to just get away from normal life for a few days. There is no way that anything that I would write would do Dan’s driving experience justice, but he loved it. He says I will never be able to top this gift.
