I think Lincoln was the cutest little Super Reader ever! (Dressed up as Super Why from the PBS kids’ show “Super Why.”) My mother-in-law did an awesome job on his costume!
Our Halloween festivities started on Friday night with pumpkin carving at my dad’s house. Dan had to work late, so Lincoln and I just went. I don’t really enjoy carving pumpkins and I wasn’t going to attempt it with Lincoln. So, I just bought stickers for him to decorate the pumpkin. He thought cleaning “the guts” out of the pumpkin was so fun. I , of course, forgot my camera so I only got this one picture on my phone.
Saturday my sister-in-law threw a Halloween party, mostly for the 4 grandkids, but the rest of Dan’s family came, too. We had donuts and hot chocolate, mummy dogs, witch fingers, spider crackers, and played pin the face on the pumpkin, Halloween bingo, pumpkin toss, and painted pumpkins and played in a spooky tunnel and the ball pit. The kids had a blast and it was fun to see everyone. By the end of the party, Lincoln was so crabby we put him down for a little nap. Our friends came over for pizza and trick-or-treating, and I was tempted to not wake Lincoln up because he was so tired. But we did and I’m glad. He had a ball trick-or-treating, but was happy being done after only a few houses. I was glad to only bring a little bit of candy home!

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!
