We recently moved from the house we had been in for 4 years. We loved the house and the area and the ward, but it was time for a change and Dan’s sister presented us an opportunity that was hard to pass up. We’ve been in our new place for almost 2 weeks now. It’s been a rough 2 weeks. Lincoln was excited about the move and so I didn’t realize the effect that moving would have on him. His sleep schedule is all messed up and I think that is the biggest thing to account for the excessive crankiness he has been experiencing. The Monday after we moved, Dan also started working 16 hour days at work, so I think that has contributed, too. I’ve also been a bit of a stress case as I have been looking for a new medical transcription job and trying to fill out applications and take tests. I will be happy to get back into a normal routine.
Regardless of that, we love our new place. Some of our favorite things:
*The area and the view. This picture was taken out of our bedroom window. The neighborhood is really nice and everyone we have met has been very friendly. I don’t even mind having to drive 10 minutes to get anything!
*Two fun parks within a block from our house (and very warm November weather that allowed us to go play today!)
This has proven to be good and somewhat difficult. Having 3 boys ages 3 and under living together doesn’t come without its challenges. I love that Lincoln always has someone to play with now, but there has been lots of arguing and time-outs. (There was even one full-out tackling match that I have to admit was pretty funny!) Even though they fight, Lincoln is always so happy when they get home from being out somewhere without us. I know it will get easier as time goes by.
