You can all pick your jaws up off the floor. Yes, I am updating. Yes, I know it's been forever. What can I say? I'm busy and blogging just isn't always a priority.
We have had a great summer. Over the 4th of July, we were able to go to Colorado to a family reunion. We had a great time! We camped and had lots of fun playing in the river and spending time with my extended family.
I am amazed at how well Lincoln sleeps while we are camping.
Eating a Ring Pop. Look at those red cheeks from being in the sun all day. I’ve never seen him play so hard!
When we got home on the 4th, Dan’s family came over for a little fireworks show at our house.
We started potty training a week ago. I thought it was a little too early and kind of crazy, but Lincoln has done so well. We are on day 3 (I think) of no accidents! He still wears Pull Ups for naps and bedtime, but I don’t know how long that will last because he is definitely getting better at staying dry. At the same time we started potty training we also did this:
(Yes, he’s putting his pants on “by myself.”) I thought it was silly to potty train him, but not have him be able to get out of bed. He has done surprisingly well with this, too. He tells me all the time, “Mom, I’m growing up. I’m big like you and Dad.” It’s so true. I love how fun and independent he is, but I do miss my baby some days.
We had our big city celebration, Fiesta Days, last week. We took Lincoln to the carnival and he loved it! We put him on the kiddie roller coaster. Those of you who know me know that I am not a roller coaster fan, so I was worried about traumatizing him. He looked like he wasn’t sure what he thought, but as soon as it stopped he stood up and said, “One more time!” Dan also took him on the Tilt-O-Whirl. The next day, the first thing Lincoln said to me was, “Mom, let’s go to the carnival!”
This last week we also took Lincoln to Seven Peaks and to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. He loves being outside and really doing anything. He is at such a fun age and we love hanging out as a family!
Here are just a few random cute pictures for you to enjoy, too!

What a cute little guy you've got!
