I'm having a hard time finding my motivation to get working this morning, so I thought I would do a much needed blog update on my little guy.
I can't believe that Lincoln is almost 2. It seems like just yesterday we were frantically driving to St. George to make it to the hospital before he was born. Being a mom definitely has its challenges, but is the most rewarding thing I've ever experienced. It has been so fun to watch Lincoln grow up into a little boy. Here's an update on some of the fun things he does:
*He loves, loves, loves "Dora the Explorer." It's not unusual for the first words out of his mouth in the morning to be, "Watch Dora, Mom?" He can name all the characters and even says "habre" when he wants something open.
*He is the politest little boy. He always says "thank you" and is quick to say "I'm sorry" when he has done something wrong. It's hard to stay frustrated or angry when he comes over and quickly apologizes.
*He loves his stuffed animals. I think there are currently about 8 that sleep with him in his crib every night.
*He loves to play with his dad. Dan has recently moved to working 4 10 hour shifts during the week and has Fridays off, which he has deemed "Lincoln and Dad day." They do lots of fun things~like building towers on Lincoln's Lego table with his "dunclos"...
...watch movies complete with snacks and popcorn...
...and even build forts...
*He loves to cuddle and sing songs and read books. I love when he comes up to me and says, "Cuddle, Mom" and crawls on my lap.
*He loves to help us do the dishes. If he sees dishes in the sink, he says, "Do dishes!" I let him stand up on a chair and play with cups and bowls in the water while I load the dishwasher and wash the dishes. He often cries when the dishes are done. He also likes to help with the laundry. I can only hope that this will last, right?
*He loves to play "chase" and hide and seek.
He definitely keeps me on my toes and laughing and I love being his mom!

Oh that is sweet. I can't believe how big he is already. I love this age because they are so sweet. Just remember that!!
