Smile because it happened."
I've been trying to keep this in mind the last few days as I've been a little sad at my baby turning 1. There are parts of the last year that I will miss terribly, but I'm so grateful to have experienced them. I think part of the sadness is the uncertainty of when we will have another baby in our house. But I'm glad to have watched Lincoln grow up this last year and am excited for the years to come.
Lincoln's first birthday was a success. We had a weekend full of partying, so this may be a little long!
On his actual birthday, the 26th, we didn't do too much. Lincoln and I went and had lunch with Dan and then later that night, after dinner, we gave him his present--a Little People ride-on car. His favorite part about it is opening and closing the seat!
Saturday we headed up to Logan to Dan's sister's house. Her birthday is the same day as Lincoln's and she just had a baby, so the whole family gathered up there. Lincoln had tons of fun playing with his cousins. He was, once again, spoiled by his grandparents and aunts and uncles. What a lucky little boy to have so many people love him!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINCOLN!

Isn't it funny what they like about their toys? That picture of Dan tossing Lincoln totally makes me nervous. I hate it when Aaron does that!
ReplyDeleteLincoln wasn't too fond of being tossed up that high!
