6 Weeks to Go!

Back on November 19 when we found out we had been selected by our birthmom, I thought April 5 would never come. Now here it is, only 6 weeks away. I am beginning to get so excited. I got home from shopping with my sister tonight and Dan had set up the crib and the pack n' play and cleaned up the nursery. Now it really looks ready for a baby. We folded up the few clothes we have bought and put them in the drawers and I got a huge rush of excitement. Dan's family is having a baby shower for us tomorrow and my family's is the next week. It's finally starting to seem real and I just can't believe it's already here.

    I remember the anticipation. It seemed almost too much to handle! I am so grateful now for all the time we had to prepare, we got to know our birthmother so well and so now we have such a great friendship with her. We were able to prepare mentally and physically and I would never change that. I don't think I could handle a call saying that our baby would be born next week.

    I am so excited for you! And I love the name you picked!
